Dear beloved Parishioners,
Greetings and peace be with you!
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all who generously volunteer in the various ministries of our parish. Through your time, talents, and faithful service, you help make our liturgies prayerful, welcoming, and beautiful.
It is especially encouraging to see more parishioners coming forward to share their gifts and become more actively involved in the life of our parish. We are grateful for those who have recently expressed an interest in serving as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, as well as for those who have faithfully served in this ministry.
New ministers must receive training and certification from our Bishop before beginning this ministry. Certification is granted for a period of two years, after which ministers are required to participate in a renewal process in order to continue serving.
To accommodate as many parishioners as possible, we will offer three training sessions for both new and returning Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. You may choose whichever evening works best for you:
- Wednesday, October 14 – 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 21 – 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 28 – 7:00 p.m.
If you did not have an opportunity to sign up during the Parish Picnic but would like to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, you are most welcome and encouraged to participate. We also invite our current ministers to attend one of these sessions for renewal and recertification.
Thank you for your willingness to serve Christ and His Church through this important ministry. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your generosity, and may the Blessed Virgin Mary accompany you as you faithfully serve our parish community.
Blessings upon you all.
Very Rev. Albert Kemboi, V.F.
Pastor
